Solberg Junior completed the stage in 16.39.9 ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala by 0.5 sec.
Evgeni Novikov suprisingly set the third fastest time 6.2 behind the rally leader Solberg.
Matthew Wilson set the 4th fastest time followed by Mikko Hirvonen who set a time 6.4 sec off the lead.
Ogier set the 6th fastest time, Mads Ostberg7th and Seb Loeb 8th.
Loeb was not too happy with his run first on the road
He said “A lot of loose gravel out there. I was pushing hard but you have to accept that we’ll lose time. These are very difficult conditions to be running first on the road.”
Stage 2 Elatia say Petter Solberg set another fast time 27m 42.6sec
Solberg seemed to be the only one happy with his stage
He reported "It felt good - there were some big, big rocks in some places but I really enjoyed it. I'm happy with that time"
Jari-Matti Latvala set the second fastest time of 28m 02.4sec but was unhappy with it
jari said "I think I've done this stage eight years ago but I couldnt remember it. I didnt have the rhythm and it was very difficult"
Mikko Hirvonen was 20.1 slower than Petter on the stage.
Loeb set the 4th fastest time 21.9 down on the rally leader. His DS3 ended the stage with a rear tyre off the rim and a mysterious fault with the electronic read-out.
Ogier lacked confidence on stage 2 and set a time 5.6 slower than Loeb.
The Drivers then headed to a 15 min remote service.
