Stage 6 was full of Drama and suprises.
The fastest driver on the stage was Sebastien Loeb who set a time of 18:18.5 just 1.6 infront of Solberg. Loeb said at the end of the stage that he expected the other drivers would play tactics and that he would be 2nd on the road tommorow.
Solberg was a bit annoyed at the stage end because he had lost the 1.6 seconds after being held up by Jari-Matti in the stage who limped home after a diff failure in 21m45.9s. Solberg said...
“I was running a long, long time behind him [Latvala]. I think there’s going to be a big war because that was very bad. I lost a lot of time. The other guys backed off? Why? Okay, that’s good. I’m happy with that!”
although he had lost some time he was still happy knowing that he is going into day 2 tommorow with a lead of 51.6 seconds over Loeb.
Mikko Hirvonen ends the stage in 3rd fastest time 9.4 slower that Loeb which drops him behind Loeb in the overall standings.
Sebastien Ogier decided to play tactics for a more favourable road position. he dropped 16.3 seconds to Loeb to put him 4th on the road tommorow. Will this have been the wrong thing to do?
Henning set another impressive 5th fastest time 18:35.9 17.4 seconds slower that Loeb.
