Overnight rally leader Petter Solberg had a tough run through the stage sweeping the loose gravel and managing a fair time of 11m53.5s: And this is what he had to say at the stage end - “For me it went very good - no mistakes. It’s very loose so I know it will cost me time. Let’s hope I don’t lose more than 30 seconds today. I’ll do the best I can.”
Sebastien Loeb finished the stage 11s faster than Petter and was suprised with such a time.
Mikko Hirvonen ended the stage fastered than Solberg but slower than Loeb with a time of 11m45.3
Sebastien Ogier set an amazing fastest time and showed that maybe his tactics will be the right way to go.
He set a time 6.0s faster than his team mate Loeb. 11m46.2 the fastest stage time.
Jari-Matti Latvala unfortunately had more problems on stage 7. He ended the stage in 11m44.8s the thirdest fastest time so far after his run but at the end of the stage he had some bad news .....
"I think we've lost the turbo. It could be the end of the day for us after this stage because we may not be able to go much further. But we will try something and see."
Mads Ostberg back under superally regulations for today and sets the third fastest time overall with a time of 11m43.6 and was happy with his time !

Stage 8 Ghymno 1 (26.28km)
The fastest time for stage 8 was set by Sebastien Ogier of 18m 43.3s who described the stage as "quiet okay".
His team-mate Loeb was second fastest with a time of 18m37.0s
Mikko Hirvonen set the third fastest time 2.5s down on Loeb. At the stage end he seemed a bit baffled by the pace of the Citroen drivers.
Mads was fourth fastest on this stage 17.9s off the fastest time 12.7 slower than Mikko.
The rally leader Petter Solberg only managed to set the fifth fastest time after he made a mistake on the stage
"I missed a junction. I went completely straight, had to go round and turn back again. That was a mistake"
Kimi Raikkonen set a solid 7th fastest time 47.8 off the fastest stage time.
Team mates Henning Solberg and Matthew Wilson had problems on the stage finishing 9th asnd 10th fastest.
Henning cracked a brake pipe and lost a lot of time.
His team mate Wilson had a lot to say (or complain about ) at the end of the stage :“We seem to be struggling a bit with masses of oversteer. We’ve got two spare tyres and we can feel the sort of pendulum effect. I drove cautiously over the rough stuff. The misfire is still here occasionally, it’s like hitting the rev limiter even when we haven’t hit the limiter.”

Kimi Raikkonen finished the stage in 14m06.3s but had some problems and had this to say
“In one hairpin there was a stone in the middle of the road, it hit really hard and the car started to feel loose at the rear. I thought there was a puncture but it seems okay so maybe there is something else. We’ll look in the service.”
